On Saturday, July 31st, 2010, the HITS Foundation held its first Summer Classic. Five hundred WNYers joined us at Sunset Bay Beach on a warm afternoon for our volleyball tournament, as well as food, drinks, live music from “Hit N’ Run”, and a wide variety of games for kids of all ages. As part of their prize, the volleyball tournament winners got to play a “celebrity match” against professional hockey players Patrick Kaleta, Mike Ratchuck, T.J. Brennan and Darryl Shannon (see picture below).

Together with your help – and that of our gracious sponsors – we were able to raise over $12,000 toward the HITS Foundation’s construction of a new sportsplex in Springville, NY.
